Beyond the Headlines: Crafting Engaging Features for Teens

Have you ever been interested in the field of journalism? Look no further! This fall, you can dive into the world of reporting with Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library’s feature writing workshop. Starting in November, teens will have the chance to learn from two of Buffalo’s Fire’s reporters, who will guide them through storytelling techniques. In this workshop, teens will begin by mastering article writing and then explore feature stories and community profiles. If students miss a session, no worries! They’ll be able to pick up where they left off. Teens are welcome to attend one, two or all three sessions as their schedules allow. The primary aim of this program is to provide opportunities for innovative writers.  

Please bring a laptop to use if you have one. Some laptops and Chromebooks will be available to use for those who do not have one.
