The Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra presents a special reading of "The Story of Ferdinand" by Munro Leaf.
Ferdinand is a young bull who prefers to smell flowers under a cork tree instead of butting heads with other bulls. When men come to choose a bull for a bullfight, Ferdinand accidentally sits on a bee and becomes spooked. The men choose Ferdinand, and he is brought into the bull ring. Instead of fighting, Ferdinand runs to the middle of the ring and smells the flowers in the ladies' hats.
Participants will be guided in a craft prior to the story.
