Event Details
Teens are faced with the constant pressures of life and harmful trends associated with substance abuse via media, school, or within their social groups. Prevention education is a vital public health approach that can provide teens with the facts needed to confidently make informed decisions about their health. Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health’ Substance Prevention Team (SAP) will be facilitating 30-min prevention awareness sessions on June 24th and July 24th to discuss how teens can develop helpful refusal skills that diminish the popularity of substance-related trends one activity at a time. Participants will engage in active discussions, play healthy life jeopardy, and compete in world puzzle relay games to understand more about the benefits of living substance free.
